Emily Fuller and Diego Pita crowned Cambridgeshire County Champions 2026!
The 2026 senior county championship at Hunts County Squash Club this weekend saw Emily Fuller and Diego Pita both claim their first titles in front of a home crowd!
Emily was on great form and lived up to her billing as top seed with comfortable wins throughout the event. Elsewhere in the women’s, Michella Pita won the B-Grade event and Lucy Hilton was runner up.
Diego was also on scintillating form and played some fantastic squash to win the Open event without dropping a game, defeating last year’s winner and HCSC teammate Rob Dadds 3/0 in the final. The Open B-Grade was well contested, Ely’s Jamie Woor took the main title and HCSC’s Alex Chapman won the plate.
There was also plenty of action in the masters categories; HCSC’s Lizzie Kilsby and Babs Moore won the women’s O40 and O50 respectively, CSC’s Andrew Armstrong took the men’s O45 and the men’s O50 was won by Vinod Duraikan of Melbourn.
It was another fantastic event and wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the players, spectators, HCSC, @inscribeddesign trophies and the continued generous sponsorship from Redmayne Arnold & Harris
Thanks to everyone who played and supported this year‘s championships!
