Cambridge University Sports Centre hosted the 2025 Redmayne, Arnold & Harris Cambridgeshire County Closed Squash Championships, bringing the best players from across the county together to battle over three days of competition.
Continuing the well-established partnership with title sponsors Redmayne, Arnold & Harris the championships was a fitting celebration for the squash community in Cambridgeshire. The two major titles of Mixed and Women’s Open Championships ran alongside B-Grade events and Masters categories for players of all ages.
There was representation from across the counties club alongside a strong entry from both Cambridge Squash Club and Cambridge University Squash Rackets who both play out of the centre. 60 individual matches decided this year’s champions:
Mixed Open Champion: Rob Dadds (Hunts County SC). Runner-Up: Thomas Ramsay (City of Peterborough SC)
Mixed B-Grade Open Champion: Zach Baskir (Cambs’ University SRC). Runner-UP: Sean Brodrick (Hunts County SC)
Women’s B-Grade Open Champion: Sarah Penfold (Cambridge SC).
Men’s Over 45 Champion: Colin Griggs (Hunts County SC). Runner-UP: Jason Burgon (Hunts County SC)
Men’s Over 55 Champion: Vinod Duraikan (Melbourn SC)
Women’s Over 50 Champion: Babs Moore (Hunts County SC). Runner-UP: Vinette Irving (Hunts County SC)
